sync is fine except for calendar

I have an Axim X3i and make all appointments and create contacts through the Axim. I have been doing a sync since day one and thought it was working fine. However, when I checked outlook recently because I couldn't get the calendar to transfer to my cell phone, although the contacts were there, the calendar was blank. That is why I discovered that the Axim was not tranferring the calendar to Outlook on the desktop as the calendar there was blank. The sync control or the PDA never gave a hint that the calendar was not transferring to the desktop. On both the calendar and contacts the Microsoft activesync says "sync status is on the device." The contacts go through fine, although I notice that sometimes there are dups. Help!

Go into Tools - Options on your desktop ActiveSync and make sure Calendar is checked. If you highlight it and then click on Settings, you can also configure how it you want it synced.

I did that, but it didn't help.

You can try going into the Rules tab and choose "Always replace items on the desktop" under "Conflict Resolution".

I did that as well, chosing the "always replace the item on this computer." It didn't help. Could I have setting on Outlook set incorrectly? I use Outlook, not outlook express.

As far as I know, there is no specific setting on Outlook that you must configure to allow it to sync. The other thing you can try is to delete the current partnership, then re-establish it again. To do this, click on File - Delete Partnership when your device is NOT connected, then resync and go through the prompts to re-connect again.

I'll try that, but since I download from my Axim, I have both my laptop at home and my desktop at work configured with the Dell, but the problem exists both places.

UPDATE: I tried it, but it didn't work except to do the calendar entries for the present day only. Nothing in the past and nothing in the future.
