Aximsiteactivesyncicon Deleting Partnerships from lost computers

I reformatted my computer a week ago. It is a thing I normally do once a year, great way to clean out the junk that windows accumulates. Overall it went well, except when I plugged my axim back in, My outlook email refused to sync.

It said I already had another partner ship with my previous computer and two partnerships with email was not possible. Obviously I cant go back and delete the partnership in activesync because that computer doesn't exist anymore
so what should I do?

I currently have a perfectly fine activesync partnership running on my reformatted pc
when I set it up, activesync said that it already had a partnership with a previous computer and email syncing was not an option.

how do I delete the partnership from the last windows installation so I can enable email syncing in this one?

To delete a partnership, remove teh Axim from the cradle and open ActiveSync. Go to File menu and Delete Partnerships -> select teh partnership to delete.

You see thats the problem, In my version of activesync the only partnership that shows up is the one I want to keep.

When I go into options it says that the box is checked with the axims other partnership on another computer (which happens to be the old version that I reformatted) and that I have to go to that computer and uncheck the box (which I can't do) before I can sync emails with with the new reformatted version of my pc.
