Activesync 4.2 Beta Acting Strange and Will Not Connect.

I am running Windows XP at the office, and although my computer is dated, I was able to download AS 4.2 Beta and sync my X51V without too much trouble. Initially, I did have some issues with Activesync taking forever to sync my calendar, but that eventually resolved itself.

Today, my computer notified me that it had automotically upgraded Windows XP and I needed to reboot, which I did. When the computer came back on, my Axim would not sync with AS and try as I might, it just didn't happen. I much have done three or four soft resets. I did not and will not do a hard reset. That's me, I am stubborn! Again, it took forever to sync the calendar, but this time it never made it. So, I removed AS and reinstalled it, but the computer still didn't want to recognize the PDA. Any thoughts out there? Oddly enough, at home, I am running Windows XP and AS 4.2 Beta, and everything is fine, albeit that my computer here is much, much newer. Any help would be appreciated.

Abandon 4.2 beta, go for the release version.

So I uninstalled AS 4.2 Beta and installed AS 4.2. The Computer has synched with the PDA, but the synching of the Calendar keeps going on and on without resolution and completion. It has synched the contacts. Why won't it synch the calendar and the the order items on the list?

I can't give you an intelligant asnwer. AS 4.2 works fine with my X30H and OS 2003SE.
