I have ActiveSync version 3.8 with my Axim x30h, and every time I connect my ppc to my computer activesync automatically goes online. If I have my browser open, nothing changes or anything - it's as if they're just hounding me for usage statistics or something (which I expect more from Apple software than with AS).

Is there a way to get it to stop going online automatically? Thanks in advance

My guess would be you have a program loaded on your PPC which needs to be updated on the web, such as a weather program, a RSS program or a stock program. Many of these will cause activesync to try to connect to the internet for updated information.

Another thing to check is in the options/settings for Active Synch - look for the selection of options for how it synchs. One of the options is over the internet. Perhaps you have that selected instead of usb.
