Still connected after removing from cradle?

I just did a hard reset to see if that would make a difference but nothing.

Anywho, every time I take the PDA off of the cradle, it still shows that it is connected. I can't get rid of this at all unless I do a soft reset. Any ideas why this is happening?

Mine takes about 30 seconds before it shows disconnected. How long have you waited before doing a soft reset?

A long time. I've let it sit down for more than a half hour and still the connected icon is still there.
