Basic ActiveSynch issues

As I generally do with all my PCs(a format and new partition) from time to time, I recently performed a hard reset on my Axim x51v, bringing it back to inefficient ROM 03.

I want to install the Rom 12, and I want to use ACT as my PIM, so I also had to remove ActiveSynch 4.2 and install 3.8.

Now the Axim and the PC won't connect. I've reset them both NUMEROUS times, I ran the Activesynch Partnership and Profiles Utility and deleted any existing Profiles or Partnerships, and still nothing.

Currently runnin RegDoctor, but I doubt that a registry issue would be the problem.

Will post the results of my registry scan.

Results of the Registry were clean, and this is being run in XP Pro with Activesynch 3.8.

Your PDA says x51v, Windows 5 requires activesync 4.0 or above. You may have to upgrade ACT.

Ugg... Act has no upgrade available! Let me try to get 4.2 working with sync.... back in a few.

Ok Synching with AS 4.2 -- that was never a problem... I guess the issues are with ACT.

Rom Upgraded to 12 was successful also.

you COULD try AS 4.1

microsoft doesn't seem to have it on their site anymore. If you want to try and see if it works, i have it on my home server
