Update:
Well, after contacting PhatWare support and running a few tests, we determined that the hang-up occurs when Exchange is trying to access the folders, which is nearly all-of-the time on my network. So, I just disable Exchange briefly, make my changes, and all is well.
I went ahead and took advantage of the Labor Day weekend sale since I was able to get this resolved in time. :) I hope this helps someone else in the future. :)

================
My setup (w/ Axim x51v):
- ActiveSync 4.2
- PhatNotes 4.7.1. Standard Edition Build 4.381.0330
- Microsoft Outlook 2002 (running on Windows 2000), running on an Exchange Server (work)
The actual sync progresses quickly and w/o incident.
However, any time I want to initiate the
Outlook Notes Synchronization Options action, my
ActiveSync and
PhatNotes Synchronization Options windows become “unavailable” for quite a long time (5-7 minutes). I’ve looked at the Windows Task Manager and the Performance looks fine (no spikes toward 100% CPU or memory usage), the Applications shows no “hung” utilities, and no one application is hogging all/most of the processes. Finally, the
Outlook Folders Mapping window appears.
I keep the x51v on the cradle for the entire time, if anyone is wondering.
I’ve posted this in the ActiveSync forum b/c I suspect this is an ActiveSync issue, not a PhatNotes issue. However, I don’t have any other Activesync issues if I uninstall/disable PhatNotes.
I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue. I’m currently using a trial version of PhatNotes and would really like to get this issue resolved before committing to a registered version.
Thanks! :)
