Aximsiteactivesyncicon Desperate for help!

I'm getting an error message when trying to connect with activesync. The message says:

"Synchronization cannot be completed successfully. Reconnect your device and try again. If the problem persists, see the Microsoft ActiveSync Troubleshooter in Microsoft ActiveSync Help on your desktop computer."

I've searched through the troubleshooting but havent been able to fix it.
I need to connect!

I greatly appreciate any help you can give me.

Also I have the latest version of ActiveSync downloaded from Microsoft's website. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and that didn't work. And its not a problem with my firewall I've been using this Axim with Activesync and my firewall for 6 months. This just happened all of a sudden tonight.

I was having the problem with the Activesync from the CD that came with the axim. I uninstalled it and reinstalled with the new version from microsoft's site.

Try this. After you receive the message on the computer, activate Activesync on your PDA, then close it. Remove the device from the cradle, wait about ten seconds and replace it. See if it syncs then.

I still havent been able to get my axim to sync. I'm worried that I might have deleted an important file associated with AcitveSync with SKTools. Is this possible? and if so is there a way to restore it?
