Dont feel so bad or be ready to kill your computer...I cant sync my x50v to a computer running windows ME and activesync 3.8. Mine loads everything every time I uninstall and reinstall the program and now my computer actually lists the x50v but says I dont have the required files to make it work. Since I seem to be behind the times,(by not running xp) I cant even use the information I find in the many hours I have been online looking. Anyone have any ideas??? Please..pretty please!

I'm having a different problem. My Ax says that I need AS 4.1 or higher on my comp even though I have 4.2 installed. It won't sync. Aaarg.

Having the same problem. Nothing to do with AS. Windows XP is simply not recognising my Dell as a valid USB device. I have the firewall turned off. Have tried deleting all Dell drivers on the PC. This is something to do with Windows (running on a M200 Toshiba) as it works on another computer without problem (Compaq).

BTW I was able to update the ROM to A12 on the Compaq and not the Toshiba. So there is a pattern.
