How to backup with ActiveSync 4.2?

With AS v3.x I used to do my backups automatically but now with AS 4.2 it seems that backup isn't possible anymore. What's the deal?

Thanks,
FelixG

I can't remember what 3.x looked like. Is it different than this?

Exactly, that's what I'm looking for. Is that on AS 4.2?

it's a feature that ms have removed in as4... You will need a full blown backup application,

Spb and sprite are the two names that spring to mind.
