I just upgraded to ActiveSync 4.2 (I think from 3.8). The old version had a bottom section under the rules tab where there was a box to check to "Open ActiveSync when my mobile device connects"

That bottom section (entitle pass through) is not there in 4.2, and everytime I connect my device to synchronize, ActiveSync opens on the desktop. I would like it to remain minimized like it did in the old version with that box unchecked. How can I do this?

Well, this looks like what you are looking for. Open AS, click on "File", Connection Settings and then uncheck "Open ActiveSync when my device connects". That should do it.

Thanks. I just stumbled across that myself. I guess they moved that check box.
