Icon14 Activesync trouble- another solution

Hi guys, I was a victim of active sync trouble about couple of weeks back. I tried everything that is on microsoft website and in this forum. I have changed my firewall settings, network connections. None of which worked. I was thinking of hard resetting my Axim X51v. I have spb backup. I restored to about a month back and surprisingly activesync connected in few seconds.:approve:

Actually, most of my ActiveSync woes are directly attributable to hard resets, which, I guess, makes sense, as the whole point of ActiveSync is a partnership.

Woo-hoo!

I was having major issues getting AS 4.1 and 4.2 to work with Outlook on my laptop, but in desperation, the IT guy downloaded AS 4.5 beta(2) (released today), and, lo and behold, it now works! This was in conjunction with moving my Outlook Mailbox to another server (which cleaned out some corruption, maybe?), upgrading Outlook from 2002 to 2003, then a downgrade to 2000, and a re-upgrade to 2003, and flashing the Axim's ROM to the latest A12. Whew!

Hope this might help someone else.

I predict it will work for awhile...a few days. I've felt elated after a few random fixes that lasted for a few days as well.
