I previously posted the difficulty that suddenly happened to my X51V when AS would no longer sync with my PC. I had been using AS 4.2. The problem also occurred on my PC at work. What was happening, I don't know, but I called in a PC tech because I had other problems. The day before at work, I decided that for the heck of it I would uninstall MS and try 4.5 Beta. Suprise, it worked and has been working ever since! Now I thought, let's solve the home PC issue. Unfortunately, he could not get AS to work, even after deleting all reference to it in the registry. As the bill was mounting up, I told him enough. As he was going out the door, he suggested that I create a new user profile and maybe try to install AS 4.5 Beta there. I did, and it's working, albeit not without soft resets and reboots of the computer. As of 10/11/06, I am functional and backing up the Axim at every opportunity. The tech felt it was the firewall and Norton Anti-virus. Who knows, but for now I am keeping my fingers crossed. The saga continues.

It is now Thursday 10/12/06 at 7:00 CST and AS 4.5 Beta is still synching okay with both my home and office computers, and with no soft resets. Hopefully this will work, at least for now.
