Active Sync 4.2 Problems

Hello Everyone,
Long time reader but not a poster. I'm having problems with Active Sync 4.2 on my X50. I was running AS 3.7.1 with no issues. Decided tonight to upgrade to 4.2 since my wife will be getting a Motorola Q and it uses AS 4.1. Since installing, I'm having issues with no syncing and problems with Outlook XP attempting to get mail.

What I see is that the X50 will connect, but I don't have an option to sync. I finally disconnected everything, uninstalled and reinstalled and hooked everything back up. It seems to see the x50, but then got the following message:

"This version of Microsoft ActiveSync is not compatible with the current mobile device. Please upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft ActiveSync and reconnect."

I have tried going back to 3.7.1 and still no sync. I'm running W2K w/SP4 and Outlook XP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello All,
I finally got this working. What I found out that a program called AvantGo (used by Mapquest) was causing the problem. Found out after I installed AS 4.2 that you have to install an upgrade for this program. So I did a Hard Reset, installed AS 3.7.1 on another computer and sync the Axim. Then upgraded to 4.2 with no issues.
