Exclamation "Activesynch cannot open the com port"

When I boot up, I am consistantly getting the above message. I then go through the 'wizard' and unattach the com port from activesynch. This doesn't work as I keep getting the same message on the next boot.

I am using Activesynch 4.1 on windows XP Pro. I never use the com port as I synch only using the USB interface. I cannot get rid of this annoyance. Anyone else with this problem or have a fix for it?

Thanks

You might try unchecking the box to allow COM ports to use Active Sync. This should still allow you to sync via USB and not get the message.

In AS go to File>Connection Settings and you should see the boxes you can check.
