Current version on CD is 4.0. I see the new Microsoft version is 4.2

Are there advantages to upgrade and should I?

If you are running WM2003SE and below, version 3.8 still works the best (IMHO). However for those with WM5, I've heard 4.5 (beta) is pretty good and addresses some of the problems with the earlier 4.x versions.

I was running 3.7.1 with my WM2K3.2 PDA and decided I would rather not install .NET CF2 via the .cab, so I upgraded to 4.2. It went OK for me, although from what I read that in itself is unusual. It seems to sync faster, too.

Bottom line: If you don't have a reason to upgrade, why do it?

I agree with Gigi. 2003SE or below, AS 3.8 is the best.
