Sync'ing with MS outlook

Hi, this is my first time using the MS outlook installed in my computer after I got my first axim. So I've successfully add my Unversity email account to outlook. But for some reason emails from the university account wouldn't sync to my axim, unless I move the emails to the original Inbox folder. That empty inbox has no email account associated with it. Is there a way to ask activesync to transfer emails only from my University folder? The University one is sometihng called IMAP.

Thanks.

If your University is using IMAP on its e-mail server, then no, it won't work; at least not with Pocket Outlook. If they are using Exchange Server, then you have to set that up in ActiveSync.

I believe that you need to delete that unused Outlook profile and then use your existing profile as default. ActiveSync will only synch up with the default Outlook profile on the machine.

I've never gotten it to work with Pocket Outlook.

When you add an IMAP account in Outlook, it adds another "root" folder to your folder list. ActiveSync doesn't see this "root" folder, it only sees the default folder that is setup upon installation. I was think that maybe you could delete that but I don't think you will be able to because that also stores the calendar, tasks, etc.

I did set the IMAP up on the Axim itself and then it seemed that whenever I would plug in the Axim, it would sync by going out to the Internet using ActiveSync passthrough.

Hope that helps!
