I have had my work computer able to connect for months. To get it to connect, I would have to soft reset the PDA each time it was removed from the cradle. It was a pain but I could work with it. I also could not get it to sync at home for anything. I had tried the cradle, another cable, and BT.

I had some issues and had to get my Axim replaced. The cradle also went bad I think. Perhaps it was just this present issue cropping up. Anyway, I have a new Ax. I have managed to sync via BT (dongle) at home. It really works well.

Now at work, It seems to have issues seeing the Ax. I occasionally am able to get it to recognize the Ax is connected via cable. It starts to add the drivers and runs into some problem and stops. The computer then sees the Ax as some unknown USB device. I know the cable is connected because the ax shows the battery connected/charging symbol. I have installed/uninstalled As 4.2 and 4.5 numerous times. I have tried soft resets. I have tried soft resets of both ax and computer between software install/uninstall. I have tried to use BT set up at work but cannot get it to work. I tried using the same BT dongle from home. I have tried the set devmgr_nonpresent_devices=1 route several times. I am running out of ideas. I really need it to sync with work. That was the whole purpose of the Ax. Of course I love all the other things I can due with it. If I had to make a choice, I would want it to sync with work and not home. I would like it to sync at both places.

I also have a question. Is there any reason why the ax cannot sync via BT at both computers? It wanted to delete the partnership with my home computer to set up the work partnership. I allowed that but it would not sync. I was able to recover the home partnership without much grief.
