A/S 4.2, Outlook2003, loose functions of Outlook...

I updated to Active Sync 4.2 and ever since I've not been able to sync and still use Outlook when it's syncing. I loose: all functions: Reply, Send, New or make a new; email, calendar event. What's also strange...if I input a new item into my PDA (calendar or event) it will now error on those items and not sync them. It will only allow items to be input on the computer, so basically I loose the whole function of syncing things back and forth now.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Active Sync. I even went back to 4.1 vers. and that did not help now. I'm stuck and baffled.

Now I have to sync, then remove devise off the cradle, then close Outlook 2003, then reopen Outlook to then use it again. It's nuts. Nothing's changed but the update to Active Sync 4.2.

J, I had trouble with 4.2 and WM2003SE, too, although not as drastic as yours. I went back to 3.8. which doesn't seem to sync as fast, but is more "stable." The only continuing problem I'm having now is "status" keeps reverting to "not started."
