active sync set up problems

So
When I install my Active sync 3.7.1 into my new laptop with windows XP all goes well.
But them when I hook up my axim the window comes up and it says connecting
But it never connects???
It says "no partnerships"
Did I forget a step on the install?? Do I need to set something else up??

thanks

Maybe the file repllog.exe (C:\windows\) doesn't work. Try to activate it while your Dell is in the cradle. If it's connecting correctly the following problem is happening:

The link between the connector RS232 (your USB cable) and the file repllog.exe is gone! With this program you can create a new link with the menu connections! Make a notification: when the RS232 appears then start repllog.exe!

Good Luck

Rogier

Try using a newer version. I use 3.8 (works great and don't want to use the newer versions) and it works great. Otherwise use 4.2: you can download it from here.

Good luck

ps You also have to start activesync! In c:\windows on your PDA you can find async.lnk. Start it, start repllog.exe and wait....

Yes,

3.8 will work great! I think better then 4.x and maybe better then 3.7.1 (also XP on your desktop?).

Uninstall the previous version and download 3.8 from safesax2002 (great myPDA!) and install clean version!

Good luck :approve:

Dit you try this?

Look at Settings, then on the tab System the icon About. Is there a name for DeviceID? Change it and try again.

Regards,

I work with Active Sync 3.8 build 5004 with windows XP without problems. Maybe there are some troubles with active sync and memberships??

Download ActiveTweak so you can delete old partnerships etcetera.

Good luck,
