newbie help please

Hello all,

I have had my x51v for sveral week snow and have used it as a stand alone unitl today- I have gone throught the book several times and con not figure this one out.
So let me start for the begining--
Followed instructions to install outloook and AS. ( ver 4.0 )
Finally got AS to work, shifted 2 of other USB cables and they all seem to play nicley now. AS will work and synch and I was ablt to transfer aMP3 to the handheld.
I cannot get it to find outlook. Outlook is installed on my PC but when I start AS it is not there on the list of programs i.e. media, files, favorites.

Should I unconnect USB cable and reinstall outlook?

I have been at it for 5 hours today and finally got this far and do not want to take 2 step backwards.

Thanks for your help.

Dave-

Hey there welcome!

Not sure what you mean about outlook is not there. And I don't believe you will use outlook to transfer your media files.

Anyway, if activesync is working correctly, go options, and you should see all the available option that can be sync. For outlook, you will set up the email, calendar, contact, and task.

If you could elaborate more, then we can help more. Oh, make sure you're using the latest outlook, and not outlook express.

hope that helps.

NoWire - you got a very nice - but BIG - signature ...
Do you realize that it takes about 25 megabits to transfer - for each post - and that costs me money
So Add NoWire to Your Ignore List ?

OT: It's off my photobucket, how does it cost you money? I'm not being an a-hole, it's just that I don't know much about bandwidth... Please enlighten me.

and to be honest, put me in your ignore list, and I probably wont even notice.

I have nobody on my ignore list and I don't intend to put anybody in there.
It's just my way to show my frustration over unneccessary spend money - if you see the point ...

Have a look here ...

See you around
