Start ActiveSync 4.2
without your Axim attached. Choose Options and then click on Rules. In the Conflict Resolution you should now have 3 options:
Leave the item unresolved
Always replace the item on my device
Always replace the item on this computer
Choose: Leave the item unresolved.
Connect your Axim and now any conflicts will appear in
red as Unresolved. Clicking on this will then allow you to choose either of the other 2 rules listed above.
I found out the hard way by losing all contact of both PDA and PC.
