Question File Explorer question

I had posted this another forum and then found the ActivSync Forum.
When I go to File Explorer and attempt to open "My Device" my Axim X51v tries to connect to the Internet. I am unable to view any of the files or applications on my device. I am able to access the CF and SD card. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening and being able to view my files instead of trying to connect to the internet. Any help will be appreciated?: Thanks for the help

You did take the Axim off the cradle and try this?

Yes, I have tried it both in the cradle and out of the cradle and can still not get it to work properly. It still continues to hook to internet.

I have the same problem! All along my X5 has been working fine with the file explorer, but all of a sudden, I can't see My Device when I click on File Explorer. It jumps directly to My Documents. When I try to force it to My Device, it tries to connect to internet explorer. Anybody knows how to fix this? Thanks.

Have you tried a soft reset? It may just be Windows getting cranky.

Yes I have tried a soft reset, but it doesn't help at all. I also tried a hard reset, which fixed the problem, but I lost all the applications and data. Any idea why this happened, and how to fix it. The 1st time it happened was last Sunday, and then yesterday it happened again. Thanks.
