Contacts duplicate from ActiveSync

I just purchased the Axim X51v, and am very pleased with the features, etc.

However, I have run into a very frustrating situation that I believe is caused by ActiveSync 4.5 (Beta 2). What has happened is that many (but not all) of my contacts in Outlook 2003 (XP Pro) are being duplicated in the Axim, and vise versa. I don’t know why some, but not all.

Does anyone have any ideas (before I pull more of my hair out)?

Thanks.

Jack

Welcome to the site Jack, I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you but I'm sure one will come soon. Enjoy your time here.

Hi JackRobbins, I am having the same problem as you (using the same device) and was wondering if you ever found a solution?

Cheers

I also seem to have this problem. Some contacts have duplicated themselves into 5 copies. They always seem to be the contacts that I made that only have a name and phone number, in other words, the more data in the individual contact, the less likely it was to duplicate. Although the end of the alphabet, t-w, all contacts duplicated. I just recently noticed this, and it seems that I did not have the problem with 4.2, but about 2 weeks ago updated to 4.5......hmm?
