AS on the x51v - does it run all the time?

Since moving over from an x50v/2003SE to x51v/WM5, i've noticed that AS runs all the time on the PDA - when not connected to the cradle.

Even when I "kill" it with vBar, its there again the next time I check.

Is this normal with my new configuration?

Anyway to kill it for good?

Is it taking up significant resources always being on?

Thanks

The dummy server trick doesn't work on my x51v/A12. AS 4.5 beta 2 still syncs periodically, even though the "schedule" is set to manual.

Thanks - I'm actually up to the AS 4.5 beta and it doing this. I guess this is the new "normal"?

Boy, I read rumors that WM5 and AS updates were steps backwards and now I see why!
