Syncing on a wireless network
Last attempt before this x51v goes on ebay or onto the freeway
. Situation... We have a secure wireless network at work in which I have obtained the key for. Our network guy has installed a certificate on my Axim as well. This is all with the goal of being able to automatically sync all my emails and calendar whenever I am in that wireless network. Is this possible? I do have a laptop that is assigned to the network too and I have no problem with that. All I have to do is open Outlook when in the network and it syncs after a couple seconds. Won't the Axim do the same? I can get on the network but I just can’t get it to sync. While in Activesync on my Axim I have gone under "Configure Server" and entered all the username and pw and exchange server address. But then when I have completed I try to sync and get "You have an incorrect SSL certificate common name in the Host Name field...Make sure the server name is entered correctly". Where do I enter that or change that? I have "mail1.##.local" as the Server address. Sorry for being all over the place on my explanation. Its just that I think I am so close but I am getting frustrated and also I get a little confused with the lingo that the Axim/Activesync uses to explain things. If someone knows what I am attempting to do and can provide me with step by step instructions that would be great. After all, I might not even be close with the route I have taken. Mike

You cannot sync an x51 over a wireless network. Only over bluetooth or by cable. You could actually sync to an exchange server. Not sure how you do it though. If you insiste on tossing it though I would love another axim.

Well, it is an exchange server that can be accessed over the wireless network. I am trying to figure out how to configure my axim to do what should be so simple to do.
Like I said, my laptop can be in the wireless network range and all I have to do is open Outlook and everything updates. Shouldn't my Axim be able to do the same? What setting would that require on my Axim?
