Hi all,

I've never noticed until recently that activesync only partially syncs contact and tasks data (maybe even calendar data). All my contacts are located in the contacts field in outlook, there are no filters in place and no error messages crop up at any point during syncing.

I've tried AS4.2 and 4.5beta 2, with rebooting the PC (and deleting the Activesync folder in program files after uninstalling via control panel) before and after installing and still only 60% of my contact list is actually transferred to the PDA.

The Axim is an x51v with A12, desktop PC is about 4 months old, and runs fine without any problems. I've tried hard resetting as a last resort and still not all of the data syncs.

Hope someone else has had this problem and knows of a solution!

Getting abit further on this...

I exported the contacts to Thunderbird without a hitch and that seemed to work, so its definately something in Activesync rather than Outlook. I then exported it to a CSV and after (painstakingly) comparing what contacts were transferred and what weren't it appears that any contact with entries in the notes/comments field aren't transferred!

I've had this before with the diary, in that items with entries in the notes area didn't sync properly after editing in either Outlook or the Axim.

I'm hoping that someone with abit of knowledge in AS might be able to shed some light on this.

Edit: Just a quick google confirms that there is an issue with Outlook 2007, but I'm currrently using Outlook 2003 which *shouldn't* be affected...
