Question Brand new Axim out of the box - device not detecting!

Please help me!
I just received my baby X51v, but cannot seem to connect the ActiveSync - "device not detected"...

I'm not new to this - I used an X30 for almost two years, so I know what ActiveSync and all... But I just can't seem to be able to connect it now :(

I think the problem is that my computer won't detect new hardware - actually it did say Axim X51v new hardware detected, but that was before I installed ActiveSync (which I know I shouldn't have done). So now that I installed ActiveSync - the computer won't detect new hardware anymore :(

How can I force it to detect it once again? I tried unplugging/replugging the cradle in & out of USB - no detection :(

Please help me!

Are you using the latest version of active sync? 4.2 I think although there is a 4.5 beta floating about?

Also do you have sygate personal firewall?

Try disabling your firewall and then connecting the axim.

I shut down ZoneAlarm pro and the problem looks fixed! :)
Thx!

But now... What do I do in order to allow ZoneAlarm Pro (ZAP) to be always on AND ActiveSync (AS) to still be functionning like it should?
I did allow in ZAP all the AS connections and at maximum trust at that - it still won't connect while ZAP is on :(
