One more AS problem :
syncing with cradle stopped working. Desktop recognises that a device is in cradle and starts trying to connect followed by an error message, that the desktop is not able to identify my AX (worked fine before) !
I'm still able to sync via BT without problems !
X51V WM5 , AS4.2, WXP
Tried already : uninstall + install AS, erased partnership - set up new one

What to do ?

Take a big hammer........admit we all made a mistake with windows......and then use a daytimer.......and a pen....
You might have to delete them in the AX as well in settings/About/DeviceID. I had to remove this, then open up active sync on the AX /Menu/Options/and delete the sync partnerships there too. There is also sometims it dosent take the partnership files out of your My docs folder on the pc so might as well remove those then go into program files/Microsoft active sync and all the crap is still there too. Then you can start over.

Sometimes, I need to softreset my axim, whenever it doesn't connect properly.

That sounds alot less messy than the hammer method. Good tip. So today is a new mile stone. After two weeks I finnally have the thing syncing to home and to my work laptop with no problems in 24 hours. Knock on wood.
