I tweaked my PPC so that activesync would sync files on the storage card instead of in the main memory. I did so by following this guy's advice:
http://www.itauthor.com/notes/archiv...g_to_stor.html
Every time I sync now, my files sync properly from PC to PPC, but not in the opposite direction. My hunch is that the tweaks that he recommended are only facilitating unidirectional syncing because they all focus on where things go on the PPC (which is fine for him because he only needs it to go in that direction), but not on getting files from a specific place on the PPC to the default PC directory.
It seems to me that the PC is looking in the right place, but that somehow the contents of the PPC target folder are being ignored. After the files transfer from the PC to the PPC successfully, activesync still says "# files not synchronized" (# being the total number of files I'm trying to sync). If I then remove all of the files from my PC target folder, Activesync shows that everything is properly synchronized. However, it does not delete the files off of the target PPC folder. In addition, when I save a text document to the original (main memory) My Documents folder, it does not sync to the PC target directory (thus, it seems the PPC is being ignored, rather than that the PC is still looking for ducments in the original folder).
I tried deleting the "ignore_my_docs" hidden file on the storage card, but that didn't seem to work.
I would appreciate any insight or any clue as to what is happening and how it might be fixed! Thanks,
Jon
