Mad activsync bogus entries

when I sync my Axim with my laptop activsync inserts the same number of 'empty' entries as there are actual ones - every time! Have to delete them one by one by hand - boring
Any ideas to stop this?

Welcome to Aximsite

Can you be a little more specific about these empty entries; are these calendar entries or contacts?

Ok, and when you say empty, what exactly are you seeing in the Contacts window?

So, the Unknown is the name of these bogus contacts?

You're syncing with Outlook (not trying to sync with Outlook Express) and you elected to sync which way when you established the partnership? That is, did you elect to create entries on both devices or replace them?

At this point I suspect that there is either a problem with the Outlook address book (it has become corrupt) or Contacts on the Axim. The first thing to try is a soft reset on the pda. Try that and let us know the result.

yes - did as you said and sync again resulted in the exact same problem
any further thoughts would be valued while I spend the next 30 mins deleting 'uknown' entries!
