Have you had the foresight to conduct regular (ie, daily) backups of your laptop and pda, Jack?

If you have, about now looks like the time to use them.

Bitter past experience has taught me never to trust technology.

If you have backups, then try a hard re-set on the pda and re-synch following restoration of your laptop Outlook contact database.

Best of luck, Jack.

Just a long shot..but maybe your calendar is still there...could it be the date on your axim and/or one of the PC's is off? I once thought I lost all my calendar on a Palm, turned out the PC clock was off by 2 years (no idea how) and somehow that propogated to the palm and I was looking at the wrong year on the calendar!

Also, I bet if you scour the web you will find utilities to restore the contacts and calendar on your laptop. I doubt they have been permanently deleted off the drive yet, there are probably tools to get them back. Good luck.
