Looooking fooor changes (active sync)

Tough one for me maybe you can help.

My x51v never syncs on first try to 4.5.

Just says looking for changes and then pops up can't sync send error report.

I then have to play with the usb to pc conncection check and uncheck then it syncs my axim.

Any ideas and thanks.

I can't synch my x51v by just plugging into the cradle with 4.2, 4.5 beta, or 4.5. I always have to soft reset first or I get the same problem that you're having. I have never found the cause for this. This fix is annoying, but at least it works 99% of the time for me. Good luck.

I use 4.1.0 and have never had any problems. Maybe you could try that.

Mine won't sync with a laptop unless this is unchecked. I leave it unchecked and have no problems syncing with a laptop and desktop. Is there a reason you just don't leave it unchecked?

It usually doesn't just sync if I leave it unchecked. The active sync will keep grinding away looking for changes(I rarely use outlook by the way_might be the problem)until I recheck that box and for some reason it finds the changes and syncs

real hassle.

I can't sync my X51v (with 4.5) until I do a hard reset! I don't think its really a hard reset as I don't lose anything. It looks like a soft reset. I'm doing it thru Handy Menu. My X51v used to work without all this fuss. I've tried 4.1 and then the 4.5 beta and now 4.5. Sometimes they work and sometimes not. The DST fix didn't work either.
