WMDC and x51v - "Sync Error"

Can't get anything to sync; device connects but whenever I try to sync my axim immediately goes to "Attention Required", and I get "Sync Error" and "Sync Failed" in the results. Have tried with firewall off, no luck. Same problem in both bluetooth and USB connections. Have also tried deleting partnerships from Axim and WMDC several times. Axim is able to sync with ActiveSync and XP without problems.

Any ideas on what to try next? I tried shutting down Outlook.exe but that didn't work.
