I have 2 dell computers - one a desktop - one a laptop. Both have identical versions of Microsoft Office and Activesync 4.5. In Activesync, the laptop shows all file conversion formats (including Microsft Word). On the desktop - everything BUT Microsoft Word. I connect via USB.

Does anyone know why Microsoft Word is not available on the desktop (or how to MAKE it available)? I use it exclusively for transporting mobile files on my PDA.

I have a similar problem.
I installed activesync 4.5 and it stopped converting word docs from my desktop to pocket word docs on my pocketpc. Word docs are not listed in the 'desktop to device' tab. I'm running XP pro and Office 2007 (with default save as set to office 2003 format).
It will convert pocket word docs from the pocketpc into word docs on my desktop.
Anyone know an answer for this? In the mean time I'm just saving everything I need synced to the device as RTF.
