Will ActiveSync perform in my situation?

Hi there,

Will ActiveSync be able to sync e-mail to any from my desktop (in Outlook).

If I collect e-mail on the desktop, will it sync to the PDA?

If I collect e-mail on the PDA, will it sync to the desktop?

Many thanks,

PS: Using FlexMail

As far as I know you should be able to sync email both ways try it and see.

Yes, it will work both ways (although it increases the potential for conflicts); however, you will not be able to synchronise email on two PCs.

Hi guys,

I am not quite sure how to set this up. My mail gets synced to my PDA under the ActiveSync folder, but then any mail I check for on my PDA for the same POP3 account has to go into a different storage, so it won't get synced back to the PC.

Any way around this?

It doesn't work that way. If you sync that email account with Outlook and then check it on the PPC with POP3, it's not going to send the stuff it picked up with POP3 on the PDA back to the PC. It considers them two differenct accounts and will not combine them.

On the other hand, if you create a new email or reply to an email with the synced account on the PPC, next time you sync it will sync that mail back to the desktop and it will then be sent to the recipient.

Regards,

Gary
