(PC x 2) + (ActiveSync 4.5) = Demented User {please help}

I’m having immense difficulty trying to establish a stable sync partnerships with two PC’s (work “PC-1” and home “PC2”).

I can set up the two partnerships (PC1 & PC2), but when I return to PC1 (after setting up & syncing with PC2), the first partnership is not recognised. The synchronisation setup wizard kicks in and informs me that PPC is already synchronising with two PC’s (PC1 & PC2, and I’ll have to delete one of these in order to sync.

I delete the original partnership PC1, and set up another one up, but now when I go to PC2, I get the setup wizard indicating that I’ve got two partnerships and I’ll have to delete one. :realmad: . I've tried uninstalling & clean installs of activesync with no success.

Any instructions for getting ActiveSync 4.5 to sync with two pc’s would be most appreciated.

Thanks for the suggested links. Unfortunately none were of assistance.

Just before listing my axim on ebay, i decided to search again and found this post which sorted my problem of trying to sync with 2 pc's and having to continually create a new partnerships:

on both pcs....
> uninstall Activesync
> remove the entries from registry
> remove files that the uninstall misses
> disable Windows firewall & antivirus software
> reinstall Activesync
> HARD RESET of PPC :realmad:

Problem solved but my partnership with Microsoft (ActiveSync) is hanging by a thread.
