Can't synchronise Outlook after crash!!

Situation: I have a 5450 and a Windows XP Pro laptop with which it has been synchronising Outlook and files successfully for the past year - using ActivSync 3.7. A few weeks ago, the hard drive on the lap top died and was replaced - all documents and settings were transferred using the relevant XP Wizard.

Problem: When the 5450 tries to synchronise, the following happens:
1. Connection is made successfully.
2. Synchronisation starts, but only for Files and AvantGo.
3. When I check the Settings for things to be synchronised, all the other things (Contacts, Tasks, etc.) show up in the dialogue box with the selection menu, BUT there are no little check boxes in front of Contacts, Tasks, etc. - the things that Outlook stores.

Has anyone had that problem? Is there a solution?

I have re-installed Activsync - makes no difference. All the data shows in both Outlook on the laptop and the 5450 - but only up to the date of the crash - can not synchronise the data entered after that date.

Because of the new hard drive, even the most minor setting could have changed to cause a problem. Backup all your data and hard reset your iPAQ to try to solve the problem. Let us know what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it - but it might be a week or so until I get back here.
