Problems syncing Outlook appointments

When I change an appointment on my iPAQ and then sync my iPAQ to my laptop, the appointment shows up on my desktop as having a 2-day duration (more specifically, the 'end time' changes from being on the same day as the 'start time' to being on the following day) which means that it spans two days when I switch to the calendar view. Anyone have any suggestions how to correct this or where I might be able to find a solution to this problem? Thank you very much.
