ActiveSync suddenly cannot sync
ActiveSync has suddenly stopped working for me. I have never had problems before, but now get on my PC "Synchronization cannot complete successfully. Disconnect and try again. If problem persists, use ActiveSync Troubleshooter."

I followed every step in Troubleshooter to no avail. Have removed and re-installed ActiveSync a couple times now. When I try syncing from the iPAQ, I get "Unable to connect. You have no modem entries created and no network card present."

Chatting with HP ended with a recommendation to hard reset the iPAQ. I currently have no memory card and am not sure how my data will be affected, though my last successful sync was very recent before the problem.

Any others with similar problem and suggestions?

I've just gone through a similar problem, though the symptoms were slightly different, you may want to try the hard reset because that has work for me and another iPaq user (see http://www.ipaqhq.com/forums/showthr...0083#post30083). I believe that a hardware reset will no destroy the data that you have in the iPaq File Store (if your iPaq supports it), so if you can squeeze your most valuable data in there then I'd give it a go. Have a look at http://www.ipaqhq.com/forums/showthr...0083#post30083 for details.

However, it maybe worthwhile running through all other possibilities for this fault beforehand, so have a gander at: http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/...threadId=610080 to see if anything there can help.

Cheers,

VicDad.
