It happened today when i connect my ipaq to activesync, and it automatically connect me using 'GUEST' mode. There is no option for me to choose partnership or guest. Previously I am able to sync my device and this strange thing only happen today. Any idea?

No immediate clue comes to mind. Have you tried to remove the partnership on both your PPC and your desktop and resync?

I don't think you need to change anything on the PPC... Did you reboot the PC or stop/start the AS services? Is it through wifi that you're connecting or the cradle?

Nope, i didn't do anything. I didn't restart my PC (because it is on 24 hours) and I didn't stop AS service. I am connecting through the cradle.

I think Howard was suggesting you should reboot your PC or restart ActiveSync as a possible solution.

If that doesn't work, look through Chris De Herrera's ActiveSync Troubleshooting Guide Guest Issues website for many more possibilities.

I still couldn't find a solution to my problem. I realise that AS partnership will work everytime I delete the partnership and create a new one. But after that if i switch off and on my device, it automatically connect me as GUEST! I have to delete partnership everytime I want to sync?

I think there a two things that might be causing your problem. One could be a corrupt profile on the desktop. After deleting the partnership take a look at C:\Document and Settings\<your user name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Activesync\Profiles. If there is a folder still out there for your PPC then remove it.

I also think your problem could be a corrupt registry key with activesync.

If the problem is really corrupt registry key with activesync, there is nothing to do about it? I tried uninstalling activesync but it doesn't solve the problem...
I guess a HDD format will do...
