restore Oldbackups
Hi there. i have used back up and restorebefore, andthat is fine.
i decided that a good plan would be todo a base install of my main programs, and do a backup of that. if I then want to go back to mybase install, I justdo a hard reset and restore the approriate backup. However activsync does nt seem to want to let me restore anything but the most recent backup. Is there anyway around this? | |||

I downloaded Sprite backup and use it instead of Activesync. It creates a backup file in about 2 minutes and restores it just as quickly. You also can select which backup you want to use. It's available here in its basic form, or there is a premium version that has a couple of other applications packaged with it. The premium version will also place a copy of your backups on your PC. In either form you can also select what you want backed up or restored.

What you want to do with Activesync is very doable. It is just all about planning your backup plan. Activesync will write a backup to a default file. Everytime you do a backup it will overwrite the oldbackup unless you rename the backup file. I use Activesync to do weekly backups and I can use any backup file that I want provided I am restoring it to the same device.

I move my backup file out of my AS folder after the backup completes. I leave the file name as is, and place it in a folder named the date of the backup, thus I know which is which. I too recommend Sprite backup Standard, great app!
