Argh! Wont connect at all

It was fine this morning, now I sync and the iPAQ says connected but the desktop says "connecting..." and the logo just spins for eternity. Have tried plugging into a different USB port and re-installing activesync. In desparation I did a hard reset but that's done nothing either! HELP!!

Just a curiosity question, but have you tried restarting your pc? I had that happen a few times, and each time resetting the desktop fixed the issue.

Good luck.

Is that a type of firewall program? If so it was probably blocking the port that active sync used. There may be a setting in there to let certian ports through(ie Activesync) through.

No, its kinda like a proxy. My guess was that it listened on the AS port, hence the PPC could connect but AS wouldnt see it. There was no way to change or open ports.
