Hello,

All of a sudden I have been receiving the following error message when syncing. " One file has more than 2400 characters, which is more than allowed. Please press OK and all the characters will be removed." I press OK.

Now when I try to sync my files, I get the following:

On the Sync screen it says attention needed next to the file.
If I click to resolve items I get a dialog box which says
"Information not synchronized" Items of one or more information types cannot be synchronized. Disconnect your device" (Which I have done, and I also rebooted my computer).
"To view all error message diaolg boxes that require your input connect via infrared or serial/usb cable"

I am using the sync cradle that came with my HP IPAQ4155, and isn't that connected via USB?

Any suggestions welcomed.

hi cjweiss - just a thought, but have you tried deleting the PC's partnership/relationship with the PDA in ActiveSync and then recreating it?

No, I haven't. A bit leary about doing that because I have read nightmares about that. All else syncs fine.

If I did do it, how would I go about doing that?

more...now today when I try to sync, it says that contacts, tasks, and calenders have never been synced and would I like to combine them, etc.

Maybe I do have to recreate the partnership. What are the exact steps to do that?

I deleted and restored the partnership, and it is working fine now. Problem Solved.
