avantgo & xp
Had problems synching w/avantgo until I tried it when logged into XP home with an account with admin privs. Then it worked fine.
I prefer to do as much work as possible within restricted accounts....(Active Sync works fine otherwise) Any ideas on how I can avoid having to be an admin to sync with avantgo? | |||

XP is baaaaad for that. Several of my games and children programs would not work on a restricted account, so I gave up on it. I know it is much safer and would be better, but if I'm to do it I want to do it all the way. So for now I haven't given it much more thought. I remember hearing on the screensaver (Tech TV), that they had found the same XP limitations.

There is a way to get around it. I cannot remember exactly where the avantgo files reside on the desktop but when you sync avantgo via the cradle all of the files are downloaded to the desktop and then sync'ed over to the PPC. The directory that it is being downloaded to must have appropriate rights for the ID that you are using.
