4150 & Terminal Services

My first post....

Greetings to all:

Can anyone point me to a document that explains the steps, procedures and requirements (client and host) to establish a Terminal Services session with my Windows XP box?

I see the Terminal Services icon in the programs menu but the iPaQ give very little help.

Regards:

Balrog

Welcome to the site.

Unless someone beats me to it I'll post when I get home with the instructions on how to setup your Windows XP box to use TS. You must be using Windows XP professional for it to work. You have to turn on Remote Desktop access but I cannot picture where it is located on the desktop. As soon as I am in front of my XP box I can point it out.

Right click My Computer on your desktop...then go to properties.

You should see a tab with the word "Remote"

Make sure "Allow Users to connect remotely to this computer" is checked in the "Remote Desktop" section.

See my pic attached...this should help (mine is NOT enabled here...this is my work laptop so no RDP).

Ooops.... My mistake.

I forgot all about this thread. What CiscoKid posted is what you should do.

What I found on the www

The attached document explains quite clearly how to activate Remote Desktop however it doesn't mention Terminal Services or how to configure my iPAQ to complete the connection. hummmm....

You should see a Manage Attachments button. Click on that and follow the instructions to upload.
