Active Sync and Windows NT USB

Wondering if anyone can help. I have windows NT with a patch to let me use USB. I have been able to use USB card readers and portable HDD`s.

When I try to install active sync it will not let me use the USB, only serial ports are selectable.

Is there any way I can enable USB, or is there other software I can use to sync with my laptop.

I know NT is old, I am waiting for my IT dept to upgrade to XP, but in the interim I would like to be able to use it with NT

The biggest problem is that it is still Windows NT and USB is not natively supported on NT. Activesync recognized the OS as NT and it probably knows that the OS does not have native support.

You could get a usb to serial adapter and sync on a serial port. Or get an IR adapter (sloooowwwwww).
