Ipaq 1940 IR problem

[I]I'm trying to sync my 1940 using the IR with my IBM laptop. The IBM will recognize that there is an IR port available, but when I click on activsesyc through IR on the ipaq, it tries to coonect and then disconnescts.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm syncing through USB on the desktop at home.

ras0396 - welcome to the site

The first thing I would check is that on your PC you have activesync setup able to connect by IR.

The initiate the sync from your PPC.
