I have looked all over for the answer.
I have 2210 am a novice but had it a few months generally know my way around but not anything code related.
The basic problems is that ActiveSync Timesout (not even) or freezes up in sync mode. The green update swirl comes on, but the syncing process never ends.
I recently downloaded a number of applications and ran the installations but ever since my synchronisation with my IPAQ2210 is malfunctioning: timing out.
It basically just keeps running 'green' saying it is CONNECTING until it
effectively times-out and goes 'grey'. It doesn’t provide any messages.
A couple of the programs were listed in my install/uninstall directory, but have
never been accessible. I’ve tired uninstalling them, but it has made no difference.
Also, I then had a couple of connection erros. The FAQ or help file soent help and I tried a restore with little succes. Soft resets made no differnece and then hard reset made no differnece. I then had problems trying to restore my data, but eventually got it to work after several attempts and ajustments.
But now I am back to square one:
Green connecting, but nothing more. It can go for a good hour before timingout and going grey.
My guess is I tried to install too many programs (games aswell about 3-5 inall) at once and somehow this has overloaded the syning process. And it seems to still trying to be installing the other 'new' programs.
I have no idea how to correct this and nothing specific in online help. I have found refernce to shutting it down in the task lis and program list on ipaq, with no change.
This issue has driven me crazy for the last week, and in the meantime, I am unable to syn any of the usual stuff.
I really would appreciate some help. The only I havent tired is deleting the partnership, but am reluctant to do this.
Helpp please
