Sync only certain categories
My contacts for work are large. I thought that I'd quit syncing those with the home computer. I went into AS's settings on my home computer and asked it not to sync those work categorized contacts. I sync'd. Then I made a change in a contact on the home computer in that category and AS sync'd the change. I made a change in a contact on the PPC and it sync'd back to the desktop. What I'd like to do is remove the work contacts from the home computer and keep them on the work computer and my HP4155. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

I have never had good luck using ActiveSync and categories and two computers. If I am just telling one PC to not sync a category, fine. But I am like you and sync to a work and home computer. AS and categories behaved as you described.
I purchased Intellisync and use that. Not only can you define categories, but you can put filters on most fields. And it shows you the changes before it syncs in case you want to change your mind. ![]() | ||||||
